DESAIN LOGO SEBAGAI UPAYA MEMBANGUN IDENTITAS PPA MDC IO-554 MEDAN

Abstrak

Skripsi karya ini bertujuan sebagai upaya membangun identitas PPA MDC IO-554 Medan,  yaitu berupa logo, dimana PPA MDC IO-554 Medan selama ini tidak memiliki logo atau identitas sendiri. PPA merupakan tempat untuk mengembangkan potensi anak penerima manfaat dan menuntaskan kemiskinan. Pengkarya merancang desain logo berupa logotype yang berbentuk singkatan huruf PPA, sehingga kedepannya logo ini menjadi wajah baru bagi PPA MDC IO-554 Medan. Dalam merancang desain logo ini pengkarya menggunakan metode pengumpulan data kualitatif, yaitu metode analisis 5W+1H, dimana pengkarya melakukan observasi langsung ke lapangan dan melakukan tes wawancara. Perancangan desain logo ini menggunakan software Coreldraw, dimana pengkarya terlebih dahulu membuat sketsa logo secara manual lalu melakukan proses pembuatan logo digital dengan software Coreldraw. Logotype yang telah dirancang diimplementasikan kedalam beberapa media pendukung yaitu; kaos, mug, pin, stempel, dan notebook. Desain logo ini bertujuan supaya PPA MDC IO-554 Medan memiliki logo sendiri sebagai wajah baru, sehingga melalui desain logo ini PPA MDC IO-554 Medan mudah di ingat oleh masyarakat dan mampu menambah donatur, melalui sponsor-sponsor yang baru.

This thesis aims to be an effort to build the identity of PPA MDC IO-554 Medan, namely in the form of a logo, where PPA MDC IO-554 Medan so far does not have its own logo or identity. PPA is a place to develop the potential of beneficiary children and eradicate poverty. The creator designed the logo design in the form of a logotype in the form of the abbreviation of the letters PPA, so that in the future this logo will become a new face for PPA MDC IO-554 Medan. In designing this logo design, the creator used a qualitative data collection method, namely the 5W+1H analysis method, where the creator made direct observations in the field and conducted interview tests. This logo design was designed using Coreldraw software, where the creator first sketched the logo manually and then carried out the process of creating a digital logo using Coreldraw software. The logotype that has been designed is implemented into several supporting media, namely; t-shirts, mugs, pins, stamps and notebooks. This logo design aims to ensure that PPA MDC IO-554 Medan has its own logo as a new face, so that through this logo design PPA MDC IO-554 Medan is easily remembered by the public and able to increase donors, through new sponsors.
