PROGRAM GEMILANG SEBAGAI MODEL IMPLEMENTASI SEKOLAH ADIWIYATA BERPRESTASI

Environmental education is a key factor in fostering a culture of environmental awareness in schools. This study aims to analyze the strategies, steps, and best practices in implementing the Adiwiyata program through a case study of the GEMILANG Program (Student Environmental Care Movement) at SMA Negeri 1 Toroh, Grobogan. The research employed a descriptive case study approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and review of school achievements. The findings indicate that the implementation of the GEMILANG Program successfully enhanced environmental awareness, established a school culture attentive to environmental issues, and contributed to both academic and non-academic achievements at the district, provincial, and national levels. These results confirm that the GEMILANG Program can be replicated in other schools, with adjustments according to local contexts.
Pendidikan lingkungan hidup merupakan faktor kunci dalam membangun budaya peduli lingkungan di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi, langkah-langkah, serta praktik terbaik dalam implementasi program Adiwiyata melalui kajian terhadap Program GEMILANG (Gerakan Murid Peduli Lingkungan) di SMA Negeri 1 Toroh, Grobogan. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi kasus deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan telaah prestasi sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Program GEMILANG berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan, membentuk budaya sekolah peduli lingkungan, serta berkontribusi terhadap pencapaian prestasi akademik dan non-akademik di tingkat kabupaten, provinsi, hingga nasional. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Program GEMILANG dapat direplikasi di sekolah lain dengan penyesuaian konteks lokal.
