PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN KAPAL PURSE SEINE DENGAN GROSSTONASE YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP JUMLAH IKAN LEMURU (SARDINELLA LEMURU) DARI HASIL TANGKAPAN DI PERAIRAN MUNCAR BANYUWANGI

THE EFFECT OF USE OF PURSE SEINE VESSELS WITH DIFFERENT GROSSTONAGE ON THE NUMBER OF LEMURU FISH (SARDINELLA LEMURU) CATCHED IN MUNCAR BANYUWANGI WATERS

Abstrak

The size of the vessel's gross tonnage greatly influences fish catches, especially small pelagic fish. This type of fishing gear is one of the supports for fishing, especially with purse seine fishing gear. Muncar Banyuwangi in November – December 2023. The research method used in this research is the Experimental fishing method with the research design used is the T-test which consists of 2 different treatments. Each treatment consisted of 16 repetitions/days. Data analysis using the Wilcoxson Test. the number of lemuru catches amounted to 28,700 (kg) on 30 GT vessels and 6,050 (kg) on 10 GT vessels and obtained an average with a ship size of 10 GT is 403 (kg) while the size of the ship 30 GT is 1,913 (kg). Based on the results of the Test Statistic test (Table 5) states that the sig value (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05, there is a significant difference in the size of 10 GT and 30 GT vessels on lemuru catch. The 30 GT boat is an efficient boat compared to the 10 GT boat because the 30 GT boat has a large enough catch storage volume compared to the 10 GT boat.
