FAKTOR FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MINAT MASYARAKAT DALAM BERUSAHA TERNAK BABI DI KECAMATAN RAIHAT KABUPATEN BELU

Abstrak

Suatu penelitian telah dilakukan di Kabupaten Belu dengan tujuan untuk.1) Mengetahui perbedaan minat usaha ternak babi di Kecamatan Raihat Kabupaten Belu.2) Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap minat peternak babi di Kecamatan Raihat Kabupaten Belu. Metode penentuan contoh yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling untuk menentukan 4 desa contoh, dan metode penentuan peternak contoh menggunakan metode acak lengkap non proporsional. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif melalui perhitungan persentase, rata-rata, median atau modus, standar deviasi dan koefisien variasi dan tabulasi silang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pendapatan total peternak yang diperoleh dari usaha ternak babi yang dijalankan adalah Rp.17.151.362/tahun. Pendapatan total tersebut merupakan gabungan pendapatan tunai (hasil penjualan babi) dan pendapatan non tunai (nilai ternak sisa). Dari total pendapatan tersebut ternyata 37,03% atau Rp.6.351.362 merupakan pendapatan tunai. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat masyarakat dalam berusaha ternak babi di kecamatan Raihat adalah, modal, jumlah anggota keluarga, dan pendapatan.

A study was conducted in Belu Regency with the aim to.1) To determine the differences in interest in pig farming in Raihat Sub-district, Belu Regency.2) Determine the factors that influence the interest of pig farmers in Raihat District, Belu Regency. The method of determining the sample used is purposive sampling method to determine 4 sample villages, and the method of determining sample farmers using non-proportional complete randomization method. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis through the calculation of percentage, average, median or mode, standard deviation and coefficient of variation and cross tabulation. The results showed that the total income of farmers obtained from the pig farming business was Rp.17,151,362/year. The total income is a combination of cash income (pig sales) and non-cash income (residual livestock value). Of the total income, 37.03% or Rp.6,351,362 is cash income. Factors that influence people's interest in pig farming in Raihat sub-district are capital, number of family members, and income.
