This study aims to analyze the Public Relations (Humas) strategy of the South Jakarta Bawaslu in increasing public trust in general elections through Instagram social media. General elections are an important process in democracy where public participation and trust in the electoral management body are crucial. In this digital era, Instagram social media has become a popular and influential platform in disseminating political information and influencing public perception. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observations of the Public Relations activities of the South Jakarta Bawaslu in using Instagram social media. The collected data were analyzed using the content analysis method to identify the strategies used and their impact on public trust. The results showed that the Public Relations of the South Jakarta Bawaslu has implemented several effective strategies in building good relations with the public through Instagram social media. These strategies include utilizing informative and interesting content, active interaction with followers, collaboration with influencers, and monitoring and responding to input and questions from the public. In the implementation process, the Public Relations of South Jakarta Bawaslu also faced several challenges, such as the spread of inaccurate information and negative comments from social media users. In conclusion, the Public Relations (Humas) strategy of the South Jakarta Bawaslu through Instagram social media can make a significant contribution in increasing public trust in general elections. In this context, it is important for the Public Relations of Bawaslu and similar institutions to continue to develop effective communication strategies and be responsive to the dynamics of social media. Thus, general election institutions can gain stronger public support and trust in carrying out their duties as organizers of fair and transparent elections.
