PERANCANGAN BUKU ORNAMEN BALI SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI GENERASI MUDA DI DENPASAR SELATAN

Abstrak

Bali merupakan salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang memilki seni budaya yang sangat beragam, salah satunya yakni kesenian ornamen Bali. Ornamen Bali merupakan sebuah karya seni yang hadir melalui kemampuan imajinasi, kreativitas dan pemahaman estetika terhadap karakteristik alam Bali. Namun sayangnya, minat generasi muda terhadap seni dan budaya semakin menurun dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Dari permasalahan ini terciptalah buku edukasi yang paling sesuai adalah buku edukasi ornamen Bali untuk menjawab permasalahan generasi muda. Dalam kesempatan ini topik yang diangkat adalah proses pembuatan ornamen Bali. Buku edukasi ornamen Bali ini berupa visualisasi dan penjelasan dari bentuk bentuk ornamen Bali yang ada. Studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dilakukan agar sesuai tujuan. Datanya kemudian dianalisis dan digunakan sebagai landasan dalam mendesain buku, dengan konsep komunikasi yang menggunakan bahasa kasual dan bersifat informatif, serta konsep kreatif yang menggunakan gaya visual tradisional Bali dengan tehnik pewarnaan sigar yang jarang diketahui generasi muda saat ini, Tujuan perancangan buku edukasi ornamen Bali adalah dapat membuat generasi muda memperoleh informasi yang berguna bagi pelestarian ornamen Bali di Denpasar Selatan.

Bali is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has a very diverse cultural arts, one of which is the art of Balinese ornaments. Balinese ornaments are a work of art that is present through the ability of imagination, creativity and aesthetic understanding of Bali's natural characteristics. But unfortunately, the interest of the younger generation in art and culture has been declining in recent years. From this problem, the most suitable educational book was created, which is an educational book on Balinese ornaments to answer the problems of the younger generation. On this occasion, the topic raised was the process of making Balinese ornaments. This Balinese ornament education book is in the form of visualization and explanation of the existing forms of Balinese ornaments. Literature studies, observations, interviews, and documentation are carried out to suit the purpose. The data was then analyzed and used as a basis in designing the book, with the concept of communication that uses casual and informative language, as well as a creative concept that uses traditional Balinese visual style with sigar coloring techniques that are rarely known by the younger generation today, The purpose of designing Balinese ornament education books is to be able to make the younger generation obtain useful information for the preservation of Balinese ornaments in South Denpasar.
