PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN EKSTRAK KULIT BUAH NAGA MERAH DALAM PENGENCER BELTSVILLE THAWING SOLUTION KUNING TELUR TERHADAP KUALITAS SEMEN CAIR BABI LANDRACE

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh penambahan ekstrak kulit buah naga merah (eKBNM) yang ditambahkan dalam pengencer beltsville thawing solution (BTS) kuning telur terhadap kualitas spermatozoa babi landrace. Materi yang digunakan adalah semen segar yang diperoleh dari 2 ekor pejantan babi landrace berumur 2-3 tahun dengan kondisi sehat. P0: BTS KT 0%, P1: BTS-KT+eKBNM 2,5%, P2: BTS KT+eKBNM 5%, P3: BTS-KT+eKBNM 7,5% dan P4: BTS-KT+eKBNM 10%. Semen yang telah diencerkan sesuai perlakuan dan disimpan pada suhu 18-20oC. Evaluasi semen dilakukan setiap 8 jam pengamatan meliputi motilitas, viabilitas, abnormalitas dan daya tahan hidup spermatozoa. Seluruh data yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis of variance dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan P1 dengan level 2,5% pada penyimpanan jam ke 40 memberikan hasil terbaik (P˂0,05) dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya, dengan nilai motilitas 44,00±4,18%, viabilitas 52,71±3,68%, abnormalitas 4,29±0,96% dan nilai daya tahan hidup 41,86±12,1 jam. Disimpulkan bahwa penambahan eKBNM dengan level 2,5% ke dalam pengencer BTS-KT memberikan respon yang baik dalam mempertahankan kualitas spermatozoa babi landrace.
This study was aim to determine the influence of the addition of extra red dragon fruit peel (Erdf) added in diluent beltsville thawing solution (BTS) egg yolk on landrace boars spermatozoa. The material used was fresh semen obtained from two male two-three-year-old landrace boars in good health. Semen was diluted with diluent BTS-EY 0% (P0), BTS-EY+ERDF 0.25% (P1), BTS-EY+ERDF 5% (P2), BTS-EY+ERDF 7.5% (P3) and BTS-EY+ERDF 10% (P4). Semen diluted according to the treatment stored at a temperature of 18-20 oC. Evaluation of post-dilution semen was carried out every eight hours of observation including motility, viability, abnormality and survival of spermatozoa. This research method used a completely randomized design. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance and continued with Duncan's test. The results showed that the T1 treatment with a level of 0.25% at the 40th hour of storage gave the best results (P<0.05) compared to other treatments, with values of mortality (44.00±4.18%), viability (52.71±3.68%), abnormality (4.29±0.96%), and survival values (41.86±12.17%). It was concluded that the addition of eRDF at the level of 0.25% into BTS-EY diluent gave a good response in maintaining the quality of landrace boars spermatozoa.
