Abstrak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi pengencer beltsville thawing solution (BTS) dan semen life (SL) terhadap kualitas spermatozoa babi landrace. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah P0= BTS 100% , P1= BTS 75% + SL 25% , P2= BTS 50% + SL 50%, P3= BTS 25% + SL 75%, P4= SL 100%. Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian adalalah motilitas, viabilitas, abnormalitas dan daya tahan hidup. Analisis data dengan menggunakan analysis of variance (Anova) dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan menggunakan software SPSS 25 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengencer SL-KT 100%+EDK 1% dan BTS 50%+SL 50%+EDK 1%, mempunyai kualitas terbaik dengan persentase motilitas yaitu 43,20±3,03%-40,60±4,87%, viabilitas 53,84±3,87%-50,40±5,05, abnormalitas 6,54±1,03%-6,50±1,01 dan daya tahan hidup 42,87±2,72-40,44±4,00 jam. Disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi BTS 50%+SL 50%+EDK 1% (P2) dan SL-KT 100%+EDK 1% (P4) mampu mempertahankan kualitas spermatozoa babi landrace sampai 40 jam penyimpanan.

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the combination of Beltsville Thawing Solution (BTS) and Life semen (LS) on the quality of landrace boar  spermatozoa. This research method experimental research using a completely randomized design consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments tested were T0= BTS 100%, T1= BTS 75% + SL 25%, T2= BTS 50% + SL 50%, T3= BTS 25% + SL 75 %, T4= SL 100%. The variables observed in the research were motility, viability, abnormalities and survival. Data analysis using analysis of variance (Anova) followed by the Duncan test using SPSS 25 for Windows software. The results of this study showed that the diluent SL-KT 100%+MLE 1% and BTS 50%+SL 50%+MLE 1%, had the best quality with a motility percentage of 43.20±3.03%-40.60±4.87%, viability 53.84±3.87%-50.40±5.05, abnormality 6.54±1.03%-6.50±1.01 and survival 42.87±2.72-40.44±4.00 hours. It was concluded that the combination of BTS 50%+SL 50%+MLE 1% (T2) and SL-KT 100%+MLE 1% (T4) was able to maintain the quality of landrace spermatozoa boar for up to 40 hours of storage.
