PENGALAMAN PRAKTIK KERJA LAPANGAN II DI SLB C MUZDALIFAH: PENTINGNYA KOLABORASI PERAN GURU DAN ORANG TUA DALAM MELATIH KEMANDIRIAN ANAK DISABILITAS GRAHITA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, mendeskripsikan pentingnya peran kolaboratif guru dan orang tua dalam melatih kemandirian anak disabilitas grahita di SLB C Muzdalifah berdasarkan pengalaman Praktik Kerja Lapangan II (PKL II) di sekolah bersangkutan. Data sendiri dikumpulkan melalui tahapan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, keterbukaan orang tua akan kondisi anak dengan disabilitas grahita serta keterlibatan aktif guru dan orang tua dalam melatih kemandiriannya memegang peran krusial dalam keberhasilan melatih kemandirian seorang anak disabilitas grahita. Sinergitas strategi pelatihan kemandirian di sekolah dan kemauan orang tua melatih kembali kemandirian yang sudah dipelajari di rumah teramati sebagai faktor signifikan berhasilnya pelatihan kemandirian anak disabilitas grahita. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa, kuatnya kolaborasi guru dan orang tua adalah kunci dalam upaya melatih kemandirian anak disabilitas grahita di SLB C Muzdalifah.

This research aims to describe the importance of collaborative role between teachers and parents in order to train the indenpendency for mentally disabled child at SLB C Muzdalifah, base on the experience in Field Practice II at the following Special School. The data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research result shown that, the parents openness towards their child with mentally disable condition and active role between the teachers also the parents in order to train the child independency plays a crucial role in order to successing the mentally disabled child independency training. The synergities between the independency skills training at school and the parents willingness to train back the independency skills at home viewed as a significant factor, for the succeession of the mentally disable child independence training. This research then conclude that, the strength of teachers and parents collaboration is the essence in order to train the independency for mentally disabled child at SLB C Muzdalifah.
